Default "Unlockable" Movies?

I've played through the entire PvE story, beat the game, and now I can't remember what all the movies I've watched have said, and I know that the storyline, as far as the movies, is pretty neat when you start getting into the white mantle stuff.

So, I was wondering if it would be possible to make it so our character selection screen would also have a "Movie" option so we could watch any movies that we have seen in-game through completing missions.

Plus, by the time the second chapter is out...I'm gonna be going...!?!?!?! It'd be nice to go into the second chapter after watching the Hell's Precipice movies without having to actually do the horrible mission over again.

The people at blizzard did this with Diablo 2, so maybe it wouldn't be too hard?

I think the only problem would be that even if it was added, the problem would be in your characters voice. because it wouldnt be in the movie. My thoughts are:
either have to be a recording of the actual movie you saw(that way your character is in it, and you get your characters voice)

or

there'd have to be a generic one with a narrator, or maybe a male Warrior

or

Maybe you could select the movie you want to watch, select a voice, and that one character(in generic armor, like pre searing kind of generic) would be put into the movie?

Umm...yeah...I just noticed this wasnt my sardelac tab and this is my explorer forum tab...sorry about that...

it'd be a nice triviality, but i dont think its worth the money investing because alot of people don't like the movies

The problem is that those 'movies' are actually in-game cutscenes. They're dependent on what character you were using at the time, what teammates you had with you etc. You might get an option to be able to save a video of the entire thing, however.

That's not the point, what he's saying is that he wants to be able to watch them at will.

It'd be difficult to do, honestly, as it's the in-game characters that are in all the movies but like two. They'd have to generic the crap out of them for it to work in that setting. It'd be kinda cool though.

I mentioned this idea to some friends a while ago, and I'd be in full support of it. I believe one of, or both, of the Diablo games had the option where you could watch any of the "in-between act" movies at the menu screen.

I don't see why it couldn't be implemented without too much trouble in the character select screen. Perhaps there could be another button next to the "play" button after you click on your character, and when clicked on it could bring up a little menu with all the movies that the selected character has unlocked so far. It could show your character with the default henchman or something. I really wouldn't even mind just having a default no-name character in the cutscenes, just as long as I could watch them again.

I think this would be a great idea and have suggested it before. What you could always do in any event was have Fraps running and go that route. Then you could have a "hard" copy that you can watch outside of the game, or edit into one nice long movie.

I'd want a re-watch function. even if it means eliminating the fact you can die during one... cause I have lol

I really think this ought to go into the Sanitarium, but I will put my vote behind it too. It shouldn't really be too hard, because the recorded voices are already on your machine, and the skeletal animation is already very generic. You would just have to associate an unlock with each character/cut scene. Just don't put the other players into the stored version.

I am actually interested in the story behind things, but I hate making other people wait for me. So if the rest of the party has voted to skip the cutscene, I will too -- despite the fact that I never saw it the first time. Having it to play at my leasure later would feel a lot better.

To take matters into the community's hands though, perhaps someone with Fraps and too much time until the update will run a new player through all the missions and record and upload them...? I don't care so much that it wouldn't be my character in there, even though it was freakin' hilarious when my bone minions bowed to the king.

Pretty please?

Yes it would be nice if they had a feature that allows you to "save" your cutscene. This way everyone can move on without having to watch it again or die doing it. The person that wanted to see the cutscene can watch it later at their own leisure.

Right now I personally get more annoyed at people that complain about watching the cutscene. I figure whom ever wants to see it should have that right. I wish the game would let you know that you are dying when you are getting attacked so everyone "wakes up" and clicks skip.
